A day for the animals

Today karli and I took our kids to:
Baby Animal Days, at the American West Heritage Center in Wellsville.
It was definitely a wild day. The weather was a bit chilly and blustery,
but the kids were all excited to see the animals.
I don't know who enjoyed it most, but Nalu was
definitely not afraid at all of the free roaming animals...
We were a few in the crowd of hundreds of people
looking for the same excitement.
After FINALLY making it inside the gates
the kids were famished and needed lunch.

then the adventure began...

there were animals of all sorts

the kids got to get up close and personal with many

calf, pigs, goats, sheep, kittens, puppies, ponies
and so much more

even a candy cannon went off, which didn't amount
to much for the kids 8 and under
but nothing a stop for a little ice cream
on the way home couldn't fix
AND more springs treats to be made at home

this treat should have been made
BEFORE baths and not after.
But either way, it was enjoyed and wiped clean.
We are definitely feeling the spring fever!

Ame's performance

Ame was in her school play again this year.
They did Cinderella Kids and she was part of the
Village Ensemble.
It was quite the production. I was amazed at
the costumes, backdrops and well put together
it was. Ame had to spend lots of days after
school practing. But she had lots of fun
and had several friends in it as well.

blurry camera pics
the whole cast in the final number.
The kids in brown are all mice.
Ame is off to the right, but you can't see her.
It was a lot of fun to watch.
Even Nalu was entertained by it
and that doesn't happen very often!
Great Job Ame. We are soo proud of you!!

He had a birthday...shout hurray!

Well it is official, as of Monday March 26th,
Ashkiilani Katsumi
is 5 years old!
How did this happen????
In a few months he will be off to Kindergarten
and no longer my little boy.
to celebrate, on Saturday we took Ash and the gang to
TOAD's for some go-carts, mini-golf and lots of fun!
Karli and Chris and their girls joined us.
As you can see by the attire, we couldn't have
asked for better weather.
Nalu, Kaiya and all the little ones enjoyed
this silly Merry Go Round about 10 times.
Karli and Chris took their girls on the go-carts
after us, so we took care of little Avery
for a bit. I know how hard it would be to
juggle 5 kids!! Nalu kept following her around
and I was soo nervous he would knock her over?!

Ame was given Karli's camera to be the
photographer. She LOVED that job!
The boys being sweet to each other
(a rare moment)
Ash got a BIG boy bike for his birthday
(we are hoping to soon get the training wheels off)
And a few other fun toys
Moms cake. No time for fancy cakes these days.
But the birthday boy was happy with it and the Play dough
icre cream, so that is all that matters!
On Sunday Grandma Frankie and Jeff AND dad
came for dinner and to celebrate with us too.

Ash is the sweetest boy!

He has become quite the funny kid these days. Ash is definitely the most timid of all the bunch. But that to me is a good thing! Not soo much worrying all the time. He loves to learn and try new things. He has taken a huge liking to Lego's, just like his big brother. He has quite the obsession for Wii too. We have to limit his time playing, otherwise he'd play all day. Ash and Nalu have become quite the buddies this past year, since they spend soo much alone time together during the day. He has always had a special place in his big sis, Ame's heart as well. He is soo ready for kindergarten, and is reading and writing soo well! He can't wait for Grandma to get home, so she can do SCHOOL with him too.

We LOVE Ash soo much and can't imagine our lives or family without him.

Hope you had a great day BIG Boy!!
